![]() One of them healed incredibly well after a second round of tattooing, another one healed half-okay after the second round and the last two turned out to be just what I had been warned of: brownish, grey like scars that are half visible and look more like a dirty mark then a tattoo even after going over them twice. In my case, 2 of my 6 white tattoos completely disappeared. It changes it’s appearance over time and can completely disappear. Unfortunately white ink tends to act quite differently in the skin. ![]() Contrary to popular belief, the lighter your skin, the better white ink shows through the epidermis. Tattoo inks sit under the epidermis in the deeper dermis skin layers. Once the scabs fell off about a week later, the tattoo was only noticeable in the right light and was fading more day by day. But unfortunately that didn't last for long. They were noticeable, bright, and looked like I had used fancy white-out on my skin. Once that was completed we filled in the area with white ink. The solution was to go around the stencil and create a “blood line”.Ī blood line is tattooing the area with water, creating a scratch in the skin marking the area temporarily. Once they were placed, the tattoo took a lot longer then expected as we had to avoid mixing the purple stencil pigment in with the ink. So the process begun a half hour of stencilling trying to figure out the placement of these symmetrical designs on an asymmetrical human body was a bit of a headache. I felt that I was ready to take the risk because what I wanted tattooed was something very personal I didn’t want it to be noticeable to others & in the event it turned out as bad as the artists warned, I wouldn’t be too upset. I had heard about pure white ink tattoos but had never seen it. That being said, working part time at Liquid Amber as a shop manager without any tattoos was getting a little ridiculous. Here’s a bit of my perspective, and a few reasons why we don’t recommend white ink tattoos.Īs an actor, I'm reminded at every moment that tattoos could cost me the job. My name’s Genevieve, I’ve worked at Liquid Amber Tattoo over the last 5 years, and I have 6 white ink tattoos from our shop that all healed differently. Many people have no idea that white ink tattoos exist, and to be perfectly honest, many artists like it that way! Why? Well, first know that this blog entry is coming from my own personal experience. ![]() Meeting fascinating people and collaborating with cool folks in our industry is a bonus.Maybe you've seen Lindsay Lohan’s “Breathe” tattoo on her wrist, perfectly healed and without a doubt re-done over and over again. There's immense satisfaction in pulling clean lines and seeing perfect bold black ink, although it doesn't always go that way, haha. It allows me the freedom to be there for my kids, which I cherish. Why I love it? There are countless reasons. Plus, my dad always said, "Do what you love, and the money will follow." So I took the plunge, haha. I started because I wanted more freedom to be a good dad and unleash my creativity, avoiding the soul-crushing grind of a trade job. “I've been tattooing for nearly 6 years now, just hit that milestone recently. On Windows 10 the WinKey + Shift + S keyboard shortcut does open the Snipping portion of the Snip & Sketch tool but does not open Snip & Sketch app. Note: I remove the shortcut arrows from all my shortcuts so the icons shown don’t look like shortcuts, but they are. While the article states how to create a Desktop shortcut for the Snipping Tool (which is a shortcut to a shortcut), you will have a tough time with Snip & Sketch and other Windows apps as there is no classical Path to these apps to put as the Location of the app file in the Shortcut. If, like the article says, you desire a keyboard shortcut for the app you will need to create a Desktop shortcut to create a keyboard shortcut from. To edit your capture (like add your handwritten comments) you need to open the Snip & Sketch app which is in the Start Menu. While this is good for quick multiple captures, it doesn’t allow for the editing functions of the Snip & Sketch app for your capture. All the Snipping portion will do is capture your screen capture and send it to the clipboard. You know just change the name nobody will notice. Sometimes I think MS just likes to play with us. BTW: the Win+Shift+S does work on the Win 10 side also bringing up Snip and Sketch. I haven’t decided if I want to reprogram the Win 10 side, I like the old interface better, or just leave it the way it is. I’m still not a happy camper since not my Win 10 and 11 Setups are out of sync. Thanks to this article I found all this out and have now programmed the Win 11 Side to use the kbd shortcut Win+Shift+S and it works. So what changed that the keystroke didn’t work on W11? Shouldn’t it have just pulled up the renamed program? Well, you’d think so…but NO because it isn’t named SnippingTool.exe any longer it’s now an APP (OH how I hate that word!). BTW I did an in-place upgrade so all the same stuff is present in Win 11 and just so you know I switch the Keyboard, Mouse, and Dual displays using a Tesmart KVM. Back to the Win 11 machine and it’s a no go. ![]() I flipped back to my Win 10 machine and the key still worked. I had one set to open the Snipping Tool and it failed when tried on Win 11. I ran across this only because I use a Logitech G710+ keyboard with programmable G-Keys. Seems like MS pulled a quickie on us and renamed Snip and Sketch, remember that being introduced in Win 10, to Snipping Tool. In my continued explorations of Win 11 I just found out that the Snipping Tool no longer exists! Wait you say, I can search for Snip and it pops right up. ![]() With the Detroit Lions the wild card team was from the same division and hence, the home teams of the NFC switched their opponents. For the Super Bowl, the championship round played at a neutral site, the designated home team was based on an annual rotation by conference.įollowing the rotational system, the winner of the NFC Central, the Minnesota Vikings, would have met the wild card team. Thus, it is possible that a team could host another club with a better regular season record. The NFL did not use a seeding system until the 1975 season, and instead home teams during the first two rounds of the playoffs alternated by division. Within each conference, the three division winners and one wild card team (the non-division winner with the best overall regular season record of all remaining teams in the conference) qualified for the playoffs. This is the most recent year in which all playoff games matched up two teams that had yet to meet in the postseason in a previous year. Conversely, this meant that the winner of Divisional playoff games that were exclusively between division winners always hosted the Conference Championship game. In the rotation system, teams who hosted and won against the wild card team in the Divisional playoffs never could host the Conference Championship game. Also, a rule was made that two teams from the same division could not meet in the Divisional Playoffs. However, the home teams in the playoffs were still decided based on a yearly divisional rotation, excluding the wild card teams, who would always play on the road. The first round was named the Divisional Playoffs, while the Conference Championship games were moved to the second playoff round and the Super Bowl became the league's championship game. Along with the three division winners in each conference, one wild card team, the second place team with the best record from each conference, was added to the tournament. An eight-team playoff tournament was designed, with four clubs from each conference qualifying. This was the first playoff tournament after the AFL–NFL merger.
